dirty vegetables

I'm putting the finishing touches on an abecedary of the sad demise of a motley collection of adorable food. Sounds weird, right? We'll just say that Edward Gorey made me do it.. specifically, "The Gashleycrumb Tinies." The whole alphabet is composed of papercuts, with watercolored backgrounds, mounted on pages torn from old cookbooks.
Zucchini (in photo) is the last to be finished. He's been sliced to pieces, of course, but for some reason I've hesitated on the final touches. I get lazy at the tail end of big projects.
My friends at pin.monkey.press are publishing the book in October (provided, of course, I hurry up and finish it). And, there are more sneak previews at my etsy shop.
