Having grown up in California during 1) the environmentalist heydays of the 80s and 2) a five year long drought, I'm predisposed to be neurotic about water conservation. Really. I feel guilty when I let the water run as I do dishes.
So, again, I was trying to stray from obvious interpretations of "run" for Illustration Friday (one might also note that I abhor the act of running). This is a papercut, black paper and blue vellum.

Great image. It's a fine illo with nice details, and a creative story too. I do see, that water is very valuable.
